Re: riley ohv conversion
Unless I missed something, I do not see the fuel pump boss which would mean the block is an A, not B. I suspect the dist. will go in that business that is sticking up above the head and has a piece of tape covering it. Depending on the id of that piece, a dist. could be set up to work by making the shaft proper length. That is a great looking engine.

Re: riley ohv conversion
We have used the new reproduction ww2 Jeep distributors-which have more advance than a A/b. Woke up the eng. Also a loong shaft. Newc

Re: riley ohv conversion
The old aftermarket Mallory model 11 types are hard to find parts for but there are late types out there. It looks like a standard model B distributor will fit it. This is a link to an old thread. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...1787&showall=1

Re: riley ohv conversion
If a magnet won't stick then they aren't iron or steel. It was common to copper plate a lot of stuff like that back in the day. Nothing surprises me about the old stuff.

Re: riley ohv conversion
Head appears to be a Charlie Yapp reproduction. Originals did not have valve adjustments.
