Default What was Henry thinking ?

I am attempting to install a rear window frame and glass in a 1930 Closed Cab Pick-up truck.
I installed the rubber gasket around the window glass and all went fine. No puckered corners.
Attempting to install the glass and frame in the cab window opeming has proven quite difficult.
I checked all four flanges for straightness and all are now straight.

The problem is trying to insert the twenty screws, lock washers and nuts that hold the window/frame in plase. There is very little room to get the nuts between the flanges and the rear of the cab.I imagine this process on Henry's assembly line must have taken some time.

You install the 4 corner pieces to hold the glass in the frame, all on the workbench. Then you only have 8 screws to install on the cab.

Yup! It’s a real challenge ain’t it? Takes lots of time and even more patience.
