54 convertible courtesy lights
I searched the forum for this, but found nothing. In my new 54 sunliner, there are two switches for a courtesy light on each of the A pillars. Are there lights that connect to these switches??? I don't seem to have ANY courtesy lights at all, why the switches?

Re: 54 convertible courtesy lights
There should be a courtesy under the dash, controlled buy the pillar switches and has a switch of it's own. It's about in the middle of the dash. At least that is what I have in my Victoria

Re: 54 convertible courtesy lights
I'll have to look for it. I was under there today to see why the clock does not work... Blown fuse. It's a little short stubby one that I don't have. I'll have one tomorrow...

Re: 54 convertible courtesy lights
The first picture is the bracket, the second the light. The bracket is missing the switch. Both are on ebay right now. Put in 1954 Ford Courtesy light. Ford used this light in quite a few years. My 64 Fairlane had the same basic light, but it was part of an optional light group.. There is a used one, also on ebay, # 222790958516. Seems to be complete. Not especially cheap

Re: 54 convertible courtesy lights
if by switches you mean the ones in cowl side of door opening then you will need to find the harness under dash that goes from the switches to the light-switch I am attaching a pic of harness and light_switch the switch is an original you will notice the switch is miss I broke it when rewiring years ago they are delicate when trying to unplug the bullet connector as the have a bakelite type material that female portion of plug is in held on with small tangs.the switch was a slider type where as later ones I have seen use a toggle.you will notice the bracket has a slight bend that is correct not a step as in the pic paul showed as an example.having trouble with pics will try later or I will PM you with them that did not work either not selling

Re: 54 convertible courtesy lights
The one above that that I mentioned that was complete looked like the bracket has a smaller bend than the picture that was the bracket only.
