It really depends--from the cowl forward, yes as far as I know. I have an original parts catalog if you have specific part(s) in mind.

The 1946 model has frontal differences from the 47 & 48 which share a lot of similar trim items. I would say if you have a 1946 then be prepared to do some mods if using the later front clip and same if you have a 47/48 but want to use 46 front parts. There are likely even subtle differences between the 47 & 48 but they can likely be worked around if a person needs to do that.

Mercury stuff is not as easy to source as the Ford stuff is but there are still parts out there if a person contacts club sources and avid Mercury collectors.

The 1946-1948 Fords and Mercurys shared the same bodies. While the Ford was built on a 114" Wheelbase, the Mercury was built on a 118" Wheelbase. The added length was ahead of the Cowls. Nothing ahead of the Cowls interchanges between the Ford and Mercury. The Fords and Mercurys of this time period shared the same body parts but with different Chrome Trim.

I have original 41-48 catalogs from the factory for chassis parts and body parts. I bought it on eBay, I don’t think they’re being reprinted.

Body parts book is V-44 $52 on C&G (800) 266-0470. It is a reprint from FoMoCo. They
have chassis parts manuals from 32-56. Ask for their catalog. It is essential for anyone interested in old Fords.

FYI - I called C&G and confirmed (because I am interested too) that the v-44 catalog is Ford specific, so you will also need to buy a Merc catalog if you want to cross-reference to see if the parts are interchangeable.

The 1939 through 48 Mercury Chassis Parts Catalog would be the one to get.

Canadian stuff can be different at times.

You're (partially) in luck--it looks like the chassis catalog being reprinted now (the body catalog is separate):
