Green Dot Corporation

Security concerns

While convenient, Green Dot's MoneyPak cards lack the security measures such as identity verification found in credit cards, limited cardholder liability, and the ability to dispute fraudulent charges so that money lost due to fraud cannot be recovered.[13][14][15]

In March 2010, the Better Business Bureau reported a rise in scams involving MoneyPak where unsuspecting victims would pay for items by loading a MoneyPak card, emailing the number to the "seller" only to have the "seller" drain the account and never deliver the promised product.[16]

9 out of 10 Nigerian hot roders with good hearing abilities are suggesting this may be a scam.

Wow! I wonder if our head enforcer could meet "casually" on the tarmac with a couple of these scammers and tell 'em to "Just Stop It"! DD

A situation that seems "too good to be true" or "a little bit fishy" is not a new thing. Handle it the same way one would have 50 years ago.

Well, this guys gone AWOP (absent with out panel), the scammer was telling me he had a inner front fender panel for a '35-'36 pickup, kept telling me he had it, had catalog pictures. So I asked him to take a picture and hold a sign in the picture that said "'35-'36 inner front fender panel" said he'd do right away, that's over a week ago, not heard from him. Claims he is deaf and dumb, must think we fell off a turnip truck.
