Re: Finally uploaded some pictures
That is a nice looking car. You may have a few rust spots but ya got the complete uphostery parts. That's a big plus, my 35 fordor has very little in the interior parts department. Your dash looks complete as well. Keep us in the progress reports, and have fun ...

Re: Finally uploaded some pictures
Your first picture that you wonder what is is the piece that goes just like in your picture between the hood latch and the radiator to keep air that comes through the grill going up and over the radiator. Padded part against the radiator. Thus:

Thanks guys! Old Henry, thank you! I was setting it on wrong. Makes sense now! And yes, the interior is there, just need to give the seats some love.

Re: Finally uploaded some pictures
Walt, here is the link to the pictures https://fordbarn.com/forum/album.php?albumid=1961
And just in case you ever want to look at someone elses pictures (thats if they have even created an album) just follow this flow of clicks: Username (4dFord4dr for Example) > View Public Profile > Statistics > and then if they have an album created, you will see an area below the box for Total Posts that says Albums, then click on the black underlined wording saying "Albums created by". If you have trouble, the easiest way may be to open another tab or window, and then refer back to these instructions. I got confused by this stuff before too, so don't worry, you're not the only one. |

Re: Finally uploaded some pictures
Old Henry, I stillc ant believe that I couldnt figure out where that piece went. I think since it wasn't all bolted together and we were just setting things where we thiought that they were supposed to go, that without the radiator bolted in place, it didnt make any sense.
And also, my idea that the previous owner didn't know what he was doing holds true with evidence of that picture. Who tears a car apart and then primes that piece only? Of all the different pieces that he could have sanded/primed, why he did that piece shall remain a mystery. |

Re: Finally uploaded some pictures
Thank you! Basic plan is to just get it driving. Nothing crazy. I'm going back and forth on what I actually want to do with it. Since it is all original, I don't want to cut it up. But I dont have the money to go full resto. So I figure I'll get it in driving condition and be happy with that.

Re: Finally uploaded some pictures
Sounds like a Great plan to me That is the way I planed my truck & it started out siting in a pasture for 30 years with weeds growing up Thur the bed, stuck motor, flat tires, all glass missing or cracked, floor rotted out & right front beat up fender was laying in the bed. lots of rust but doable took me about 2 years to get it running & 2 more to finish the project. Was worth it as I do drive it pretty regular with lots of thumbs up around town. It is all fun so take your time make it yours & enjoy every minute of the job & take lots of pictures as you progress. All the best of luck to you on your GREAT project.
