30 Running boards and Splash Aprons
Think I just had a eureka moment having spent a fair bit of time under my 30 coupe today trying to figure out what was up with my splash aprons and running boards. Do these look like the one piece items? I was wanting to remove the running boards without having to lift the body and pull the splash aprons.
On another note I seem to have forgotten how to post full size images, could someone be so kind to remind me please.

Re: 30 Running boards and Splash Aprons
I believe you're going to have to lift the body a small amount to get them off.

Thanks, so am I right in thinking it looks like I'll have to remove the the splash aprons and running boards as one piece, seperate them and then refit the splash aprons? r can I seperate them under the car?

Re: 30 Running boards and Splash Aprons
Unless you have a late 30 production Model A, the splash aprons and running boards are one piece and the running board will not separate from the apron. You have to lift the body a little to remove the splash apron/running board.

Re: 30 Running boards and Splash Aprons
Thanks all, got it done today and learnt a lot in the process. At one stage was thinking I had to lift the whole body but that wasnt the case.
The running boards and splash gaurd were indeed one unit. I loosened some of the body mounts and after spending about an hour going crazy I found the small bolt right at the front inside the car and once that was out, I was able to remove the running board assembly. Moving onto the front fender assembly, yes the smaller splash gaurds were attached to those. I removed the front cowl mounts and the the two front body mounts per side inside the car. After that the fender assembly didnt want to come out and I spent about another hour getting more frustrated as it felt like I had missed another bolt as the splash gaurd part didnt want to move. In frustration I levered up the cowl bottom a little, gave the assembly a solid yank using the fender as a lever so to speak and got it to move. Moments later had the 1st one out and a few minutes later the other side. Once again thanks to those that replied and helped.
