Headlight rim problem
I can't get the rims off my 1915 headlights . I have pushed them in and twisted to the left direction while facing the light. Am I missing something? Frank pkny

Re: Headlight rim problem
Frank, Your rims should turn about 1" to the left, facing the front of the car. At that point the rims with the glass attached should pull forward off the light. The rivett looking things on the rim have pins on the inside that engage the body sort of like an automotive bulb is held in place.

Re: Headlight rim problem
Frank,
I should have mentioned to push in on the rim as you turn it - again like a light bulb. If it is a tough case, put your leather belt around the rim like a strap wrench, put a piece of plywood over the rim, push back on the wood with your hip & pull up on the belt. |

Re: Headlight rim problem
Ah!! Very good idea!! The lights were apart not long ago! The previous owner changed the bulbs. I just can't seem to get them pushed in and turned at the same time. Thanks Frank pkny
