Re: The old guys
The worst part of getting old is all your buddies that don't get old with you. Damn it.

Re: The old guys
Sure wish I'd had more time with my Dad, a Ford dealer in the 30's-40;s and early 50's. Things like Korean war, Med Lab school + work all seemed more important. They were NOT. He Died at 60, I was 29, I am 86 now.

i enjoy you young guys pretending to be old. I clearly remember Dad buying a new Model A in September, 1928.

Re: The old guys
Did he have to cross the Cape Cod Canal and buy it in Wareham from my grandfather at Sisson's Garage? Not sure there was a Ford dealer on the Cape itself???? Oh wait his widow might have sold it to the Suddards by then.

Re: The old guys
Two old guys sitting on a park bench outside their nursing home. One named Al says to the other Dave: Al says I don't now about you but I ache all over you are the same age as me Dave how do you feel? Dave said I feel like a newborn baby! Al says how can that be! Dave said well I have no hair or teeth and I think I just wet myself!

Re: The old guys
Answer To GB SISSON's remarks above.
On Sept 27, 1928 Dad bought a Fordor from Provincetown Motor Sales, a F ord dealer later known as Cape End Motors. Serial number A417892, Keys numbered 1036 and 1130. It had the drivers side cowl vent, a rather unique feature. He traded a 1926 Model T Sedan. The dealer went out of business many years ago and I bought their stock of parts at that time. |
