Generator adjustment w/ voltage regulator
Can you safely increase the generator output, by adjusting the third brush, slightly beyond what is recommended for a cut out, when you are using a voltage regulator instead of the cut out? Thanks

Re: Generator adjustment w/ voltage regulator
I think the voltage regulator company will have a recommended maximum amperage.

Re: Generator adjustment w/ voltage regulator
I would follow directions that came with the voltage regulator . A voltage regulator isn't made to increase amperage . A voltage regulator is good to prevent overcharging . It is best to make third brush adjustments first with a cut out installed to prevent damage to the voltage regulator . This is what the instructions that came with my Fun Projects voltage regulator recommended . I really don't know about the other voltage regulators that are available ..
