Default 37 tailight paint question

The 37 Ford Book calls for reflective paint on the inside of the headlight buckets. What color is the inside of the taillight supposed to be? As usual Thanks in advance. Ernie

Don't know what the book says, but I painted them white on my '40.

Originally it was argent, i.e. silver paint.

White paint reflects much better than silver paint.
Paint one white and the other silver and you will see the difference at night.
OEM is nice but not the best. PS: I still remember the brutal Oswego winters.

several others have told me they used white, brighter is certainly better. Winters here have been relatively average the past 10 yrs. Coral Springs, however would be nice right about now.

Tests have proven that white paint inside of a light body is more reflective than silver.
Of course during the '30's they would not have known that.
