Default 1931 early Model A CCPU

I am nearing the decision on what color to paint this truck. My question is what would be the best color option for the cab and bed to make it sell? I know the only 2 colors Ford offered were black and moss green.

That would depend on what a buyer wants. We all have different taste. But you should be good with original colors.

You need to check the Paint and Finish Guide or the Standards, there
are almost 40 colors listed for 1931 commercials. You can also check the link
to the MAFCA paint list. http://www.mafca.com/tqa/p-31truck.html

Couldn't you get trucks in 1931 in any stock color?

Black is the new moss green. Shiny shiny black is my choice.

Like others have said there were many more than 2 colors available for 1931.

Our mid 1930 Bud cab A pickup still had its original paint on it when I stripped the paint off it. Inside and out, the pickup still had its Ford color of Gull Grey. I repainted the same color back by matching it to its original color. Although it doesn't show it in the photo, the paint really does have a good gloss.

A little more gloss shows in this photo.
