I want to replace the cowl vent gasket on my ‘41, What vendor has the best fitting one.

I like the one available from C&G Ford Parts. The first one I installed lasted for 19 years.
The latest installation has been on for 9 years. Part No.: 78-700616 $19.95.

In about 1995 I installed the gasket from Mac's in our '41. sealed great. A few yrs later we painted the car and installed one from Bob Drake. Leaked like H***!

I bought the BOB DRAKE cowl vent gasket many years ago (1988) and its still working fine. Rounded corners edge faces down.
Use the correct sealer to hold it in place, not silicone glue.

I'm with 19Fordy, I have a Drake cowl vent gasket in my '46 Wagon since 2004 and hasn't leaked a drop. As he mentions the good ones have a up and down surface. I have seen them with both surfaces the same and those are probably the ones that leak.
