Turned 70 this past July.
Bought my first "A" in 1978. Still have it. Late 1931 Deluxe Tudor. Has potential to be fine points car. Purchased 5 more "A's" after that.

Currently helping one of my grandsons restore an early build (April 1, 1964)
Mustang.

I have had friends eMail me that they have followed this thread and that my post number 44 in this thread indicates I am the oldest participating fordbarner, a position with no future. Sheila at MARC headquarters told me well over a year go I am the longest term MARC member, another position with no future. To all you young men who have passed retirement age and are still active and going strong, I salute you. Stay busy and stay involved.

MARC member with 65 year pin
MAFCA member with 60 year pin
Fordbarner before Ryan, when Shelley first began running it. Quite a while ago.
Model A owner since 1937

I recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of my 14th birthday. Bought my Model A Tudor 42 years ago and painted it and installed new interior and still own the car.

At 37, i'm probably one of the younger Model A owners. I inherited it from my grandfather about a year ago. I'm determined to get my 1000-Mile patch this year! Also, I took over as president of Sooner Model A Club in Oklahoma City this week, so I'm also among the youngest current club presidents.

Turning 28 here in a few weeks. Bought my Model A (29 Fordor) a couple of weeks ago and haven't quit tinkering with it since. Girlfriend believes that A's are an old man's sport but hasn't missed an opportunity to come out to the shop and admire the old gal.

I am almost 82 (march 2019) but still I get there (a little slower perhaps). "The Road Ahead is Much Shorter, than the roads behind."
