1954 and 1955 Lincoln Hubcaps are different. Can anyone spot the difference between these two Hubcaps that are fitted to a 1954 Lincoln. I don't think that the owner knows that they are different.
There is a Hubcap Dealer in California that lists these Lincoln Hubcaps as 1954-1955, so obviously, he doesn't know that there are slight differences. Clue - the difference in in the Shield. |

Close-up view of the Shields on the 1954 and 1955 Lincoln Hubcaps, showing the slight difference between the two years.
Please disregard the fact that the 1955 Lincoln Hubcap is missing the red paint in the centre. It is obvious that a lot of people assume that both year Hubcaps are identical? As you can see, that is not correct, as there is a correct one for each year. |
