"Looks like the Early V8 Club needs to..." No. The Early Ford V8 Club doesn't "need" to do anything.
Those persons who think the club should be doing something different ought to know that the club is run by people just like themselves, tirelessly devoting time and effort to conducting the business of the club, without compensation, I might add. Those persons having opinions "need" to step up to the plate and volunteer to become members of the National Board, where they may effect those changes they feel the club needs to make.

Hi Everyone,
I started this thread to announce the Meet, and to let people discuss it. This is not a thread to debate the merits of the V-8 Club, the dates of the meet, or the policies that surround it. I say this because the 2104 Photo Post version of this thread, which I also started, was closed because of bickering about the politics of the Club. That thread, even though closed, has 13,300 views, and 120 replies. So please try to keep it positive.

The Gettysburg meet is in full swing. Many nice vehicles are already parked in their designated spots on the show field and many more will come out from under their covers and out of trailers by 9:00 am tomorrow morning. The Concourse show is open to the public from 9am to 3pm, at no charge.
We had a nice 100+ mile tour today to the Antietam Battle Field near Sharpsburg, Md, and then to Williamsport, MD to see the Bowmen Car Collection where they provided a great buffet luncheon for all in attendance. I have seen many Fordbarn members here in the last two days and expect to see more tomorrow. I will be adding some pictures here soon, so stay tuned .

John & Jeff,
Glad you guys enjoyed the meet, I've been enjoying photos that are being posted on FaceBook. Think either or both of you might be going to the Moonshine Festival this October?

The only problem I seen a the meet was the heat. It was hot but I enjoyed the meet. I took my Trailer Queen to the meet. She had a great time.

I can honestly say Folks,.....that I personally had the greatest time at this years EFV-8 Club's Eastern National Meet in Gettysburg, PA!! And I am not saying this solely on the fact that it was done by our own RG36. The fun for me actually started as soon as I got there on Sunday afternoon, and continued until I departed on Friday afternoon. The one thing I will always remember, because I probably never laughed so much, was the Ventriloquist entertainment we had at the welcome party, especially when our own RG member, Gary Ruby was asked to come up on stage and take part in the show. He had everyone rolling in the aisles with his adlib performance. I only hope someone took some good pictures or videos of that and can post them here for everyone to see.
I also believe I enjoyed socializing with old and new friends at this meet as much, if not more, than seeing all the great old Ford V-8's that were there, and I can tell you, I really love seeing these early Ford V-8's! ![]() A big Thank You to all who worked so hard to make this meet one that will never be forgotten!!

I agree with John (JM 35 Sedan) - a really fun event, great people, great cars and a great venue! This was a first V8 National for me to participate in and bring my 35 3 Window Coupe and the experience was really top notch! A real credit to all that were behind the planning and execution of the entire program. Thank you all!
Looking forward to seeing a picture thread of the cars of the 2016 Eastern Nationals in Gettysburg! |

Hi Vic, October has a pretty full schedule for me and a couple of these things are right there competing with the time I would need to attend the Moonshine Fest. That has always been a fun show to attend in the past with several senic routes that can be taken when starting from the Mid Atlantic area. If anything changes I will let you know. Are the CCFH's planning to be there this year?
