Still praying here in CA. Yes, to ALL who do not know the power of prayer. it is very real, and very powerful. I do know one thing for sure Jessica is in good hands. I'm just praying very hard that our desires are His will.
Please deliver her Father and bring her home safely. Return her back in her regular routine quickly. Please also bless all family and friends concerned and give them your peace in this time of difficulty. May more draw near to you thru this hardship. In Jesus name, Amen! |

Jessica continues to make small amounts of progress each day as they back the sudation off little by little as bringing her to quicly would be a hage shock to her system. She still shows signs of her her right arm being quite sluggish as compared to her left due to the brain swelling. It is not known yet if she will regain full use of it, but I am very hopeful. Her insezions are healing well so they will soon beginning to increase the blood thinners and add another drug to aid in reduction of the brain swelling. Next MRI scheduled for Thursday last I heard. I will likely post something after that. Thanks again for the thoughts and Prayers. Rod

Promising news so far. A continued prayer for a speedy, healthy, and full recovery.
I was in Children Hospital of Philadelphia yesterday with my 16yr old daughter [for a non threatening and cure able condition] The Doctors at children hospitals are saints themselves. I'm sure she is getting the best treatment available along with prayer.

I have been telling her as I can. The prayers are working without a doubt. Was told today she may be out of ICU soon and off to a recovery floor where they can begin more of the rehab proccess. Rod

Just an update this am. as I am going to have to go home to attend to some things there for afew days. Jessica is still making progress. It is good to see only 2 IV's and a feeding tube at this point. She will likely be moved out of ICU on Monday as it did not happen over the weekend as the doc's were hoping. Physical Theropy has been working with her afew times a day since Friday. She seems to be gaining strength back in her right leg, but not much inprovement with her arm. The MRI that was scheduled for last Thursday was moved to this coming Thursday as regaurdless of the results the treatment would still be the same, blood thinners and antibiotics. Jessica seems to do well when she is awake and shows signs of still being a typical teenager. She pickpocketted my wifes cell phone last night because she wanted to text. She sent afew texts to some freinds at home. I gave her this laptop to use, but she got frustrated trying to work it with only her left hand. But I was glad to see her try and encouraged her. I hope the desire to do things keeps up as she will need the desire to dig deep with the rehab. Your Prayers are working without a doubt and seem to be amazing the doc's with the speed of her recovery and the courage of all of us. Thanks Again Rod

That is great news Rod! We will continue to pray for her. I think it would be beneficial to pray for her patience with recovery as well guys, since she will be frustrated and God can help her there too. All of our love to you guys as the Light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter!
