I've technically been a member since the mid 90's but I've sort of been a member my whole life. My dad was a member has been a member since the early 70's and I literally grew up with the Early Ford V8 Club. It is a wonderful organization.

I am a member but can't live with out Ford Barn for a lot of reasons. Good to be a part of both.

I joined in 1974 when my wife worked for Lorin Sorensen. At that time I had a 29 Model A roadster pickup with a warmed up "B" motor and 34 trans( I was already half way to a V-8). Bought as 33 sedan right after I joined. I served 9 years on the V-8 Club Board of Directors and belong to R.G. #27 and R.G. #1. It's the best car club on the planet and you make many friends for life. I'm also a member of the V-8 Foundation
I noticed a couple of people on here are a little reluctant to join because they don't have a stock vehicle. It doesn't make any difference if you have a stock Ford , a modified Ford, or no car at all. As long as you have the interest in 32-53 Fords you can belong to the club. Over the years a lot has changed and when you go to a national meet you see many more cars that fit into the "touring class". V-8ers like to have fun and use their cars. Many more cars are now driven to national meets than in the past. In fact in the beginning days of the club the purpose was driving to a national meet and then cleaning up the car for the concourse.
I encourage anyone with the interest in the 32-53 Fords to join this club. The V-8 Times magazine is worth the price of admission.
