They had a 1955 Mercury Glasstop along with the Ford. Not sure but 1956 was only a Steel version? I had a 1954 Monarch and a 1954 Meteor - both were Glasstops!

1957 - the Ultimate year for styling! The 1957 Monarch had the Single Headlights; however, it was only “issued” as a Fourd Door.

Not sure about the Comet, but I know Ford Falcon wagons came in a 2 door version. The two door wagon was the starting point for the design of the Ranchero...both the full size 57-59 and the Falcon based 60-65. Here's my 65 Ranchero that I had from 2014 - 2019. The wagon rear seat footwell is under the panel in the bed.

Picked up this 55 a couple weeks ago. Haven't exactly decided what we're going to do with it yet, but the price was right and I couldn't resist..

JJ, Glad that you rescued this 1955 Ford, however, I don't believe that a Fairlane version was available in the two-door model? I think that the front doors and fenders have been added from a Fairlane? Please correct me if I am wrong? |

1955 Ford Station Wagons. Notice that the original Sales Brochure lists 3 Four-Door models and 2 Two-Door models. |

All I found was sedans for the Fairlane, and they were definitely added on by one of the PO's, but I do like the look on the wagon so it's probably gonna stay. Found pan and toe board sections on EMS so that was nice given I only need to roll out a trans tunnel. Found a few media blasters around but no one acid dipping up here yet. I'd prefer to acid dip the body but don't want to run back down to So Cal to do it either..
