Damn, Ken...you make it hard to say "No"... My next question would have been about the emergency brake handle. Our car is a '29 with the hand brake up front. It doesn't have original floor boards, so I have little problem with cutting the floor boards...and I don't need the heater feature as we have an Otwell Health Heater installed...works nicely, too.
I'll be in touch...soon... You've got a really nice set up there, Ken...

A couple of years ago we reviewed the Ken Davis A/C kit in the Model A Times and feel it is the way to go. He puts together a complete package that we installed in the Model A Times sedan and it worked well. The highest recommendation comes from Trish LaVoy riding in the sedan three days into the tour with temps running well above 100 degrees and pointing to the A/C unit and saying "that is the best thing I had done to the car!"

Does anyone know if I were to change to a side mounted gear shift would I just need to replace the top cover assembly with the shift lever and forks? Could I keep the lower housing and change the opening in the floor boards? Bill G

In the Fall 2008 issue of the Model A Times we did a review of the Ken Davis A/C kit. He puts together everything you need to install the A/C and has a mount to hold the compressor with the altenator. There is minimal impact on the originality of the car and removal to make the car stock is easy.

The car we put the kit in had a complete insulation kit put into it during restoration, this is something Ken recommends when dong the installation of his kits because it lessens the work done by the A/C unit.
