Yup, you recall correctly, from my memory. Sadly, Vince is not the only great talent/contributor who was 'put off' by the petty BS from some. Hope they reconsider, because they helped others, maybe without their even knowing.

The HAMB can be hard to deal with because it is so big and diverse, but the A-B folks have done a pretty good job of centralizing much of the information: There is a Monthly thread started every month that cumulates much of each month's discussion and provides links for other good 4 cylinder material. Once you lock into that series of threads life becomes easier...here's the January 2014 one, which contains at the top quite a few archive worthy links:
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...monthly+banger Model B stuff always needs a bit of looking, as the engines are considered orphans by both the Model A and the V8 people...no momma, no poppa, no uncle Henry. |

Mike , thanks , think i just joined by following the instructions , Anyone have flow tests & how large a dia intake valves one can fit with out breaking into water jackets ? Just picked up a sacrifice block where a machine shop just cut through each valve hole to fit seats, went so large they got into water jackets then tried to braize each hole up , what a mess ,stuffed a good block , We may slice it to get an inside picture of the casting. Hot in NZ
