I sold my pony, a buckboard and a buggy my father and I had restored, took the $100 and bought a rusted stripped out coupe and enough parts to make it look like a car. That was summer of 1966. By Christmas, we had it nitro lacquered and in May of 67 showed it at the Winchester Apple Blossom Festival. That as my first car show as a participant. Skipped my Senior Prom to go to Winchester. Restoring that coupe with my father was the best time of my life.

When I was 13, I bought my 1929 Tudor Sedan for $125 in 1971 and I still own it.
I have owned my 1930 Coupe Deluxe for 11 years. |

I bought my 29 std coupe in 1959, drove it for 2 years in high school, and then from LA to Michigan for college in 1961, back in 62, then in storage for awhile and now it is in Washington still running and somewhat restored.

My mom bought this Late 31 Coupe/PU for my dad for their 25th Anniversary in 1976. Fresh from the orange groves in Yucaipa, CA. I was 13 and learned how to drive in this car. The car is mine now and since then I've taught all my kids how to drive in it. She's a little rough but she's mine.

My first Model A was a 29 Tudor. Paid way to much for it, $6,000. It was only worth $2'000 at most, but I loved it anyway. That was back in the mid 80's. I alway's knew I'd own a Model A someday. All the way back to the age of 12. I guess I'll always own one. At least untill I'm 112. 1 hundred years is long enough to want Model A's isn't it?

I have owned the A in my avatar since 1998. Bought it unrestored. It was the first car I owned, bought, paid for, title in hand.....I'm now 31 years old.

Dad got my car in 1962 in trade for some work to another Model A'er. I got the car for graduation in 1995 and plan to tour her tires off starting this year. So I guess that puts me in the newbie category

I got my car home spring of 1992 and spent 13 years on a frame up restoration. That was fun. Thanks to all the guys that helped at the barn!
Now I have no time to drive it. Too many things going on. I will never sell it and one day things will slow down.

I bought the delivery 5 years ago. Slowly restoring it. Nearly had to sell it while paying off my bills from my fight with cncar, but managed to hold onto it. Rod
