yes Im sure everyone on this board drives their A 15000 miles plus with a heavy trailer on the back end in desert terrain. every year!!!!!

I'm sure (well, maybe hopeful) that you guys would change your minds once you experience the satisfaction of driving a car you assembled from bits and pieces over such distances. Then there are the people you meet along the way and the places you see. Then there are the constellations overhead at night as we settle down for a well earned night's sleep somewhere miles away from anybody else. Our southern skies have many more stars than those of the northern hemisphere. The age and grandeur of this country affect the soul. Geologically speaking, Australia is the oldest continent on the planet. The quietness at night is amazing - not a whisper.
Here is a poem by a bush poet we came across in Western New South Wales in 2013 which touches on some of the joys of what we do. It is my wife speaking.
