My thinking is that Ford used the best available for the job and using original bolts and special nuts with liberties taken with washers and plain nuts. With the further help form "the book", my car is going together with best original parts allowed by my budget. Fred, The very first page of the introduction explained quite clearly (or so i thought) the reference for fasteners.
