Ford Service letters were printed and sent to dealers by their local Ford Branch. There was a network of these branches that went by the name of their location, such as: St Louis, Milwaukee, St Paul, Ford Motor Company of Canada and several more. The letters often contained drawings for clarification of topics. Since the letters came from different sources they often contain slightly different worded instructions. There are THOUSANDS of these pages of letters printed over years and years. Beside Service Letters there are also Sales Letters that appear alike. The letters all start with the Ford Motor Company letter head, Branch name and date, they can be several pages long depending upon the number of subjects covered and detail. I am sure all the main topics covered in the letters came directly from Ford Dearborn, Mich. since each branch is basically covering the same topics at nearly the same time.

I have a '40 Mercury electric clock I picked up somewhere a while back thinking the movement might be used in a Ford clock case, but apparently not so. Very different from the Ford unit, however it is made by Borg.
