Appparently there is a less expensive substiture for HALON 1211 called HALOTRON as shown in this link. Any experience from the Fourm on this item which is $100 less er unit and claims to be as good as HALON 1211?
Thanks http://www.webstaurantstore.com/buck...FUnl7AodeyAAFw |

Yes, in all of my cars. In most it is behind the driver's seat on the floor. In the Model A Coupe it is on the package shelf. I do need to better secure it to keep it from flying forward in an accident. Most of our local car shows require it.

Generic no doubt, not the good stuff like Rotella. Doesn't look like the fire hurt the rumble if he had one, at least the best part got saved.

Yes!
And I shake it to make sure the powder does not cake. And I replace my oldest ones each year, on a three year rotation, and use the replaced ones to practice putting out fires.(or let others learn...it's not "point and click" if you do not know how to put out a fire. And if you do know to 'aim at the base, not the flames' most do not get it on their first try. |

Absolutely. I have a small Halon extinguisher that is about 8" tall and the diameter of a Red Bull can. Small, but mighty... like me.

What other things are "must haves" in your car? (not counting tools, jumper cables and lawn chairs)
