Rust be gone!

I remember someone posting that they used pieces of pantyhose under the hose connections. It caught the crap before it got to the radiator. This was on the first starting. Remove pantyhose with the crap inside.

A buddy of mine plumbed a remote oil filter canister to his heater hoses. For the first year or so the filters would fill with crud, afterwards no more crud.

You know, as I look at my pics again I see that if I had been just a little sharper, I would have turned my car around and had a 2' trail of rust instead of 20'.

NOTE TO SELF - - - - lol

I did put vinegar on the drive way soon after and rinsed most of the rust stain away.

I bet for that first year, he was cold in the winter!
