Heres some pictures of the one I took off my truck (to much of a shin getter for me) I do have a box section cross piece that replaces the rear spreader that has a 2" reciever for my hitch.

Here's what I ended up with after researching the idea extensively. It's kinda hard to get the full scope of things with the PU parked in a somewhat congested garage. I opted for a full bumper (same as the front) and eventually will put a 1-1/4" receiver that is flush with the bumper. This is positioned so that the taligate will fold straight down. Brackets used to mount it were the same as for a coupe, extended 6".

Station Wagons didn't have them either, probably because of the added expense and the curtain box underneath.
