If you create an account with FedEx, easy to do, and are able to ship the item to a business address, you'll find the shipping will drop significantly when using them. Their prices are high to residential addresses in order to discourage it.

Tim.. I am surprised that UPS would handle something this big.. 72x12x30 and likely 60-80 lbs given the box... an awkward piece to carry and move around.. maybe taking 2 guys??? regardless, I will box it and add a couple of handles.

If you use Pirate Ship, be legit on the weight and size of box. If not, when it goes through the system, they will catch it and charge you the additional overage.

My buddy use to be a Snap On dealer and used UPS exclusively. I believe 75lbs is the limit for "regular" stuff and, if over, it may then be considered freight.
