Hank,

If you've found a honey hole for #2's and would like to sell a few, please let me know. They are getting very tough to source in the US.

I'll post a picture of some adjustable hose clamps for the coolant hoses I have that are '40's vintage. Maybe we can work out a trade.

I was fortunate to find four Wittek's for my upper hoses.

Tim

Yes, you need #2's. Any other size is too large for 5/8" hose. Guys often assume that the 22's are just double stamped #2's, but they are not and a different size.

I'll just noted the dated as I thought was Nr 2 is actually Nr 24 !
I has not got that clamps yet. Seller said it was 3/8 but I saw the number 2 and thought all Ok, and I was hot on them as dated 4/48 and very nice set ( 15 of them )
Even the ones I bought from LA ( has not got them yet ) seems to be 5/8, so this is also Nr 22, Huu ! ;- ))
Now I has got plenty of them....
What I need was 8 to fit 5/16 hose.
Well, what does this call , learning lession.

LA, cad ruff se picture ( 5/8 )
Dated 4/48 is Nr 24...
I has a Nr 24 and its to wide for a 3/8 hose.
Now I has 15 of them, Ha.
Someone need ?

I got my second order today and it was the Nr 2 ( correct )
No date and cad.
Guess older.
They look kind of better live than on photo, but new NOS but little erroed.
I might not really like the cad look. But they are Nr 2's !

-I like the other polished better, as my Nr 22 and the the Nr 24 is dated 4/48 but stainless.
The ones I still has not get look non polished stainless but if they are Nr 2 or Nr 24 I will soon know.

Last order came as I thought was Nr 2 but they was Nr 24, it might fit a 3/8 hose but don’t know. To bad as new and dated 4/48.

Can one use 3/8 bigger hose OD to carbs.
I do has stanless Nr 22 to fit this 3/8 hose.

I did not like the NIS Nr 2 cadmided.

Here is pictures with Nr 24 and Nr 22 ( only 3/8 hose ) and Nr 2 ( 5/16 hose )
The Nr 24 was told be Nr 2 and but fit 3/8.. but it don't fit a 3/8 hose.
I lathed a test at diameter over 3/8" in diameter and then the Nr 24 might work to clamp the 3/8 hose, but it opens up the shell, se picture.
But the cool think it really fit my time line as dated 4/48 ( stainless )
The Nr 22 has no date and stainless.

The Nr 2 is steel/cadmium and that fit really nice the 5/16 hose, but then erroed cadium ( but NOS ) But stainless is nice.

Your ideas ?
