I remember seeing instructions on cutting laminated glass. You cut it like normal glass, with a glass cutter, but on both sides. Then put some lighter fluid in the crack and light it on fire and it softens the plastic to the point where you can pull it apart. When I worked on stained glass I had a wet diamond grinder that could grind the edges to remove the sharp edges and round the corners.
Another option is to cut regular glass to size and then have it tempered. But that is more expensive. Glass that have already been tempered cannot be cut.

Only AS1 laminated glass should be used for windshield. It is the highest quality glass available. Never use tempered glass.

unfortunately attitudes have changed at many of the local glass shops. I only go if I have no other choice.
they often look at you as if you have a 3rd eye........ your results may vary, being in a state that is NOT NJ! lol |
