I've never done any automatic transmission work . . . while they intrigue me, I have no desire to get started on the learning curve! LOL

Well done Bob, I wanted a 55 ford hard top so bad I could tast it when I was in my teens. I found one when I was 22 that I could aford but the fordo was as I said in my previous post tierd. I did the same rebuild, clutches, frictions, seals and ofcourse clean and piant. One thing you need to be sure of is that your linkage is adjusted correctly. Use your shop manual and follow it to the letter. I didn't and I had the plessure of pulling my fordo again a year later. They are not the bad transmision some say, as the one in my 55 bird worked perfect for many thousands of miles and never gave me a problem. But they do need to be set up correctly. I hope you get it on the road and enjoy the heck out of it. Tim
