^^ Not only returns calls, with me he remembered a part I'd been looking for here on the board months earlier and emailed me. I still wanted one and bought it gratefully.

Charlie: One week ago my own experience with this exact issue finished up. It was rough, but my dear wife and I are both in better places now. Hang in there.

Picture requested by CharlieCharlie and Alice Schwendler at Canfield '17(1).jpg

PS... I took this picture of Charlie and Alice, I believe it was ~ 2017 at a swap meet in Ohio that I just happened to find out about the day I picked up my Backyard Buddy car lift at their factory. It was just a coincidence that I ran into Charlie there at the meet that day, and took that picture of them together, and I'm so glad that I got that opportunity!!!!

It's a really great photo. Who's left to enlarge it so we can see it better?

Just click on the picture above and it should enlarge. Click on it twice and it will be somewhat larger.

Maybe it's a setting on my laptop, but they never get large like that when I click on them. I'll speak for Charlie when I say Thanks!

I wasn't aware of any issues with Charley or his wife and I sent an email to him on June 28 about having a carb rebuilt. I have since mailed a carb to him and it is now ready for me and I mailed the check on Thurs, 7/18. I will be getting 2 sent to me, 1 Stromberg 40 and a 48 for my Rouge '35 Ford. He had me send pics of my engine and is leaving the patina on to match the engine! You can see it in NY in Sept.

bttt..... added a ps note to my original post here with picture of Charlie and Alice, since some ppl were wondering about the origin of this photo. Charlie called me about a week before Alice's passing to see if I could send him a better copy of this picture for a display of pictures he was putting together for her viewing, which he knew was coming within days of his call to me. I am so happy that I was able to find this picture for him since I was not sure where I had saved this in the thousands of pictures saved in my files.
