That’s a very generous offer, Gary. Thank you. I’m gonna fuss with it a little more, and I might just give it up and buy one the rebuilts offered on the MAFCA site. I’ll let you know.

You were right, Fred. Best suggestion of all. I did that today. New carb arrives next week.

Thanks again, Gary. I’ll keep the leaker, but I ordered a new rebuild today.

700rpm, you might be able to send off your leaking carb over to Dave Renner he might be able to go thru it and let you know what is up. I have a rebuilt Zenith from him and a Marvel as a just in case carb for touring. Can't hurt to give him a try.

I thought my drain plug was leaking and I changed the gasket multiple times with multiple materials and kept messing with it until I stripped the threads out. It turned out all along it was leaking out the bottom weep hole due to bad float adjustment or jets not properly seating not sure exactly which. I purchased the float adjustment tool from Renner's and found a drain plug that had a few more threads and no longer have a leak issue.

Reporting back: I tried all sorts of remedies to stop the leak: socalled gas proof sealants, different plugs and washers, checked and confirmed floe rates and jet sizes, Nothing worked. I drained it, put it on a shelf, and ordered a new rebuilt one from TheModelAGuy on the MAFCA Classified site. Someday I may revisit that carb and check the body for seepage.
