I had both parts of that. I got my wrist ands elbow caught in the wheel and nearly crashed.

On my '39 p/u. Never had an issue with getting caught in it.

Back many years ago i had one on each side of my handle bars on my bicycle.

I don't have one in my '34 coupe but they are quite invaluable on boats for docking where spinning the wheel quickly while docking. My 25' SeaHunt in Florida has one, maybe if they ever open the borders again I'll see it again!!
