FYI: I see you ordered a truck reference book. The 1/2T pickups were not actually called trucks. The "trucks" are 3/4T or more. Ford called our little trucks "commercial cars" and they share most chassis parts with the cars and very few (if any) with the "trucks".

Good catch, Bill. It should be noted also, that Reference Books were compiled and printed by Marketing before Job 1 of the production model, and usually contain misinformation in both picture and text. At best, these contain simple operating instructions, as do today's Owner's Manuals.

Nice looking truck, enjoy it. I sold my 8N about 4 years ago, now I wish I kept it, I keep coming up with projects for it.

Thanks all. Live in the village of Corrales, NM. The horse capital of New Mexico. Good catch on the truck book. Hopefully won’t need many parts. I’ve always been a Ford guy, and drive a F-250 diesel. I had been gravitating towards a ‘41 Chevy, but decided I really like the looks of the barrel nose Ford’s and found one that met my budget.

Hoping it is as bullet proof as my 8N which I’m pretty certain is so over engineered that it has no end of life.
