To make things clear; my Mercury was a good running engine so I just ran the Rust-911 solution through it three times. The only disassembly was the removal of the water pumps so I could take a look-see. I'm sure I would have done it much differently and had better results with a bare block. In the end though, my car runs right at 180 all the time. The only time I saw it higher was the time I ran about 8 miles at 80 mph and it crept up to 190.

There are quite a few positive reviews for Thermocure on the SUMMIT site.
For the $20 or so cost, I would give it try. |
