Just an update. Went & saw & drove the Speedster today. Seemed to run & stop ok. I'm pretty sure the engine is stock with no performance upgrades. I missed one thing in one of the pics- there is a pretty good size chunk of red paint missing from the left side of the seat metal. Now that I look at the pic closer-I can see it. This fellow is trying to flip this. He knows very little about the car. He thinks that the guy who died bought it that way. He's only had it and the 4 dr. for about 4 months. He bought them from an estate. I asked him if he's had any offers & he said, "Yeah, but nothing serious". He said some guy offered him $10,000 and he turned it down. He asked me to make him an offer. I told him I didn't want to piss him off because my offer was going to be well below $10,000. He said no problem, but he wouldn't take 10 grand for it. The 30 4 dr was listed as "mint". It needed paint and had a funny smell in it. I didn't even take that one for a drive. Oh well. I want to thank everybody for their input.

I think it is worth around $6500-8,000. With no modifications to the engine it is just a model A frame with a $5,500 Rootlieb kit. That depends on how well the frame was restored on top of that.
