Layer after layer of dirt built up on an oily or greasy surface is patina, not rust. Still can't buy rust in a can though either!!

Before you try to start the engine it is essential you drop the pan and clean out the gungy goo also clean oil pump screen . The valve chest will also need a clean out . The is a good video on youtube on an oil pan clean out, well worth watching .

I own a 1930 AA 1 1/2 Ton Stake Body. My truck has been completely restored since 1985. If you have any questions or would like to stop by to see my truck let me know, as I live close to you near Chuchville
