Here is a link to a restoration that Flop Custom did with my 30' CCPU

I gave Tom a project that would challenge the best of the best and it came out perfect. Tom "Flop" is located in Pittsburgh, Pa. and he came to NJ and picked up the cab and when finished, he delivered it back to me in NJ A Super job ! Here is that link.

Tom also had posted the amazing "return to original condition" of a 6 1/2 inch channeled roadster that he did. Here is the link.

Remove the area where the seat(s) are and lower that area so the seat sits lower. Shame to waste a good chop. JMO

A number of VW Bugs have been De-baja'ed in recent years, since values 50s and 60s models has gone up, which would to me seem like quite an undertaking-don't see why a skilled person couldn't de chop a Model A!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I would lower the seat area but its already touching the frame at that spot and the drive shaft loop is almost on the floor. I think its like you guys said its time for a different body. He said the chop was done back in the 60's and its a nice job, just not for me. I'm not opposed to a couple inches on a chop or even 3 or 4 but 6 1/2 on this type car is way to much. Thanks again for all the comments.

So is the first picture cars you have? Had a 28 with a 6 inch chop. Two words come to mind... Monkey and a football. Or if you prefer. Elephant and a suitcase.

Yeah the bright yellow one is when I brought it home the yellow primer one next to the orange one is it today, so far I have replaced the trunk pan, new wheel wells, firewall, all the inside guts of the doors, window frame and door latches back to stock but the chop is the worst. I'm ok with driving it around for an hour or two but I'm going to drive it to tampa florida this year and believe its going to be a very long ride seeing its a 6 1/2 chop and its a 11 hr drive lol
