Default Center crossmember

I was looking where the one peice brake cross shaft was introduced and it says the square holes were no longer added to crossmember. Is that referring to the single square hole in the center of top side of crossmember? Mine has a square hole in center and a round hole near frame rail on each side. Thanks

Although the multiple piece cross member was discontinued in the last half of 1928 The square holes can still be found well into 1929. The holes do not have the indents for the cross shaft pins or the bolt holes for the caps. Rod
