Default Top Wood - '30 Tudor

I am in the process of installing new top wood in my '30 Tudor. Removing the old (original) wood I noticed a 'fiberglass' like fabric (maybe fiberous is a better description) between all of the wood pieces and the metal body work, I suspect this was used as an anti-squeak. Does anyone know what this material was, and what if anything are folks using in it's place when installing new wood.

I bought mine from Bratton's, part #29440. It's listed as "Top Bow Sound Deadening Material" to prevent the chicken wire from squeaking on the wood bows. I also have a 30 Tudor that needs to have the top replaced, so I hope you plan to keep us posted as you work through the project.

Old fashioned friction tape like we used to wrap baseball bat handles with as kids works quite well in this application.
