'35 parking brake floorboard boot plate questions
I'm restoring the floorboard/trans cover area in my '35 5 window. This plate is part of the parking brake lever assembly. Can someone tell me -- first of all -- should it have this bend in it? (My brother is building a '36 and his is flat).
How does it orient to the metal trans cover? To the rubber boot? Or does it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: '35 parking brake floorboard boot plate questions
it should be flat like your brothers...it sits, round end facing front, between the 'felt' type insulator and bottom of transmission [floorboard] cover. Or, I position my one there...seems like it fits best there.

Re: '35 parking brake floorboard boot plate questions
That’s what I was guessing — but seems like a potentially annoying rattle.

It is a relatively tight fit on the handle and as a result not prone to rattling. |
