does any one know if the 79 ford mercury capri and the mustang are interchangeable in body parts , like hood , doors ,trunk,ect. thanks for any help, terry

Hollander Interchange shows Mustang 1979-87 trunk lid and 1979-82 doors fit 1979 Capri. But not hood or grille.

As a former Ford Parts Manager from that period, I'd have to say not too many body panels are interchangeable. As said, maybe the doors & decklid but that'd be about it. Grille and front panels are different as are the taillights, and that would affect the fenders, hoods and 1/4 panels.
