Lowering the back of a Pick Up
Hi all, about a year and a half ago, I posted a question about how to lower the back end of a pick up.
I have a 31 Roadster P/U and the back end is too high. I received a few replies most saying take 2 leaves out of the rear spring, but not saying which ones. Then Jim Brierley replied saying install a Model T spring. So I took his suggestion, got a T spring, cleaned it, nosed the ends, and sprayed dry graphite on the bottom of each leaf. Just finished installing it this morning. WOW what a difference, the T spring gave me a 2" drop, and the bed looks level! Thanks Jim, Herb Neumann Concord CA |

Re: Lowering the back of a Pick Up
Should have left the rear end high. We know cars get better fuel economy going downhill.
