Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
It's mentioned in the September 6, 1928 Fargo Service Letter.

Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
RGJS page A-1 has June 4, 1928 for the 82-A closed cab.

Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
If some CCPU owners could post dates (frame/engine or gas tank) of their 28 pickup, that might help.

Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
My 1928 Closed Cab pickup had a 6 6 28 stamp on its gas tank when I bought it in 1970. The gas tank leaked so I had to remove it. ken

Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
No. I , not knwing what I had at the time, replaced the tank with a '29 tank, then gave the 28 tank to a friend. He is now repairing Model A's with Jesus and I dont know if his sons still have the 28 tank or not.
The titlw and motor and frame # is A385459 - and mid spring #. ken |

Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
I had a 28 truck with a back window so high up I couldn't see out of it.I THINK,although I can't remember for sure it had Ford script by the back window too.I sold it in the early 80's.I knew nothing about date stamps so I have no idea what it was.The guy I sold it to drove it until the late 90's,then it became a street rod.I'll have a look when I see it at the cruise night this summer.

Re: Closed Cab Pickup start...
Goodmorning,
This is Kevin and i am working on a 1934 Ford BB Dump truck, A gentleman told me that Neil is the one to ask about these parts. The hydraulic pump that sits next to the ram,or piston . The brass stud that comes out to indicate direction or up and down. If you have any other suggestions i am also open . Thanks Kevin |

Kevin,
Since your post doesn't follow the thread, you should consider starting a new thread, maybe in the 1932 to 53 forum. You have a better chance getting the info you seek. A PM to Neil Wilson may get your answers. Good luck. |
