Re: 4 wheel drive model A?
There was no front-drive 4-wheel Ford Model A conversion. This of course, excludes any Klet-Trac rear-wheel drive options.
The first 4-wheel option to come on the market for Fords, was in the mid-1930's, with the Marmon-Harrington, fitted to the V-8 Ford, mostly trucks. As a youngster in the 1950's, I always fantasized about installing a Marmon-Harrington 4-wheel set up on my Model A Ford. - Doug Vieyra, Eureka, CA |

Very cool! Notice the steering... that's one thing I couldn't get used to on the T I had. Wheels will over-center and just about rip the wheel out of your hand.

They BARELY had time to crank it, before the Old Farmer came out with his SHOTGUN!!!---NLOL Chiefs' Son

Re: 4 wheel drive model A?
I've always wondered whether it would be possible to convert a Model A into 4x4 using GAZ 67b jeep parts. The needed GAZ parts can be found but how difficult would it be to fit the GAZ front suspension, front axle, etc. to an A

Re: 4 wheel drive model A?
GAZ parts may be plentiful there, but not so much here in the states. I would love to find one of those front axles! Are they 3.78 ratio like the Model A's? I am also of the thought that a lighter Model A would not need two sets of springs on each side. That seems like overkill and must give a pretty rough ride.
