Default Out of the blue...

I received and out-of-the-blue phone call the other day from the manager of the dealership from which I had purchased my 1928 Tudor in July. He said the previous owner of the car had dropped off some awards that the car had won and asked the dealer to see if I wanted them. I did.
What I found when I arrived at the dealership were four boxes full of national, regional and state trophies, plaques and ribbons that the car had won from about 1985 until 2001.
I knew the car looked good – that was the reason I bought it – but I had no idea that it had ever won anything.
To me, it was kind of like buying a horse and later finding out that it had been a Triple Crown winner.
The car was probably restored in 1985 and won prizes until the restoration went stale. It still looks good, but I doubt it would win anything these days. The photo shows some of the awards on my kitchen table.

I am sure you will want to buy the previous owner a small gift as a token of your appreciation. He is obviously a very kind and generous man.

Hi young nephew, the mountain was bad but this was real bad. I actually fell off twice in one day. First time knock the wind out of me but the second time was on a hard surface road, I felt like I had been hit by a bus. I' m new at this but I will still give the horse some credit.

Looking for a new horse in GA.

Well I have some wonderful images, very, very impressive. However the last time I posted photos of this nature I got hell from only do Model A stuff guys, but if there is a great demand to see them here I will post them! and you guys will be entertained. Also keep in mind that it is sort of Model A related as it without a doubt shows getting off a horse and to one Henry's cars was a very smart move.

Brother Dusty, Hope you are OK !!! We had horses for years and I know that they can be DANE-JUS . I've been kicked, bit, stepped on and layed down on. I've been run up against barbed wire fences and under low limbs. I'm glad that we finally got rid of them. The model A's won't hurt me unless I make them. You never know what notion a horse will take .

Very great news for you and your car. I'm very much for historic preservation, so this is wonderful. I'm trying to track down my car's history.
