Does anyone know if a 1940 Mercury body will fit on a 1941 Ford pickup truck frame?
My Uncle is giving me a chassis from his 1941 Ford Pickup, and I'd love to build a 39-40 Merc on that frame. I've heard that the Merc body was wider and longer, though. Thanks for any help, Nick |

39 and 40 mercurys were 4 inches longer and 2 or 3 wider. I have a 40 merc conv. and believe me, hunting parts is a never ending job. Not too many re pops for these 2 years.

Okay, thanks fellas. Looks like I'll have to stick to a Ford body. Now I just need to find a 39-40 Coupe body for around $500.

Hey Nick,
Is your uncle looking to sell the frame from that pickup? I've got a 1939 1/2 ton that I could use a frame for. I'm over in Iowa. Thanks Bryan |
