Going to that lower gear ration will also step up heating issues. The more the engine lugs, the hotter it gets. IMHO the 4.11 is a 50 mph gear. I have a 3:78 in my 32 with a stock 221 34/5 engine and it will run 65-70 but a lot better at 55 or so. On long interstate gradual hills you can see the temp gauge rising.
